My How Time Flies

Wow this year is already off to a quick start. I had a whole plan of what I wanted to do once I obtained my degree and the timeframe that I wanted to do it in. Things were going well, I wanted to get a job that more closely matched my degree and what I had went to school for and I had two great contacts for the jobs I was looking for. The 1st job that I wanted was a job with the Oklahoma Redhawks. I had a contact that put me in touch with the guy in charge of corporate sponsorships. I sat down and talked with him, he informed me that he could get me a job, but it would only be at an intern level. He said that he felt I was overqualified, but it was the best he could do for the time being. The second job I was looking at was a credentialing job with Midwest City Hospital. I sat down for an interview and I received word that the interview went awesome and they wanted to hire me, but there was a catch. Apparently the hospital is on a hiring freeze and they told me as soon as the freeze is done they would like to hire me. Fast forward 6 months and I am still in the same position that I was previously.

I think that most people would react negatively to this, but I do like what I am currently doing because of the people that I work with and I am on good terms with everyone. I figure anytime now the Forrest Gump luck will kick in and God will open doors for me that I may not even know about yet. I think one of the reasons that I am not too frustrated is b/c I heard a saying that says if you want to see God laugh tell him your plans. From now on I am just gonna shutup. :)

You ever thought about being a fundraiser? I know an organization here in Oklahoma City that is looking for someone to do that for them.
