Been a While....I'm Still an Idiot

Wow, I just realized that we are more than halfway through the month and I haven't wrote anything. That is not to say that I haven't been up to anything, it is more to say that I haven't been finding time to write. Last week I got to go to Stillwater to see my good buddy, Nate, graduate (ha, that rhymes). I know he has worked extremely hard to accomplish this goal and I was happy to see him get there. Thought I would share 2 I'm an idiot moments with you (both pertaining to me).

1. The other day I was drinking my cappuccino at about 10:30. I guess I was engrossed in my work and I was trying to take a drink. I stress the word trying, b/c I completely missed my mouth and spilled about a third of my drink all over the front of my shirt. I live about 30 min. from where I work, so going home and changing was not an option. I decided I would just wear my coat and button it up to hide the stain until I could get home. The problem was I wore the warmest coat I had that morning and it ended up being about 74 degrees outside. So I am trying not to sweat profusely and trying to explain I like the coat because I am "cold". I'm an idiot.

2. Yesterday morning I woke up and started getting ready for the day. I flipped on all of my lights in the bathroom to get a better look at myself so I could shave and then it happened...the lights go out in the bathroom. Naturally I think I must have flipped a breaker. I go outside and the breakers are fine. Now I am in complete disarray b/c I have no clue where to even start. Good thing my old man used to be an electrician. I call him up and he says no problem we'll take a look after I get off work. He comes over and of course he goes right to the breaker box, only to find it in good shape. Now he is somewhat confused. He asks me for a flashlight, so I go out to get one for him. I was gone less than a minute and I come back to see Dad grinning ear to ear and all the lights on!! I said what did you do, and he points to the reset button on the receptacle. I didn't even think to reset the thing. I'm an idiot.

Hope this blog made you feel better about how stupid you are. J/K :)
